A configurator is three layers deep. Most stop at the first.

Every manufacturer runs a different mix of sales motions, and the tooling has to support all of them. But the value doesn't come from the picture — it comes from how deep the system goes underneath it.

The engineering knowledge: allowed combinations, load and dimension logic, standard calculations that pick the correct beam instead of asking a person to.

A graphical configurator where sales still choose the beam by hand only moves the manual work — the gain stays fractional.

ERP, CRM and PLM integrations, so a configuration becomes a quote, an order and a production package — bill of materials and drawings included.
